Overview
The Faculty of Architecture is proud to trace its origins back to prestigious training institutions such as the Indochina School of Fine Arts in the 1920s, and later the Saigon School of Architecture from the 1950s until the reunification of the country.
- Since the establishment of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture in 1976, the Faculty of Architecture has always been the largest specialized unit, with the longest-standing tradition, and has consistently made significant contributions to the university’s development.
- Currently, the Faculty of Architecture is responsible for training architects across all three campuses of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, and Da Lat. Each year, the Faculty admits around 300 new architecture students and graduates nearly 300 architects, making substantial contributions to the nation’s development, particularly in the southern regions.
- The faculty consists of 74 lecturers. The teaching staff is highly qualified, with the vast majority holding postgraduate degrees, including many associate professors, distinguished teachers, and PhDs in architecture trained in Vietnam and in advanced countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Japan, Germany, and others.
Training program
With a tradition spanning more than 50 years, the Faculty of Architecture has contributed to training tens of thousands of architects who are working in design firms, construction companies, management agencies, and research institutes both domestically and internationally.

Graduates of the Architecture program meet all learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills, and professional attitude, possessing sufficient competence to engage in professional practice and pursue postgraduate studies.
