Introduction to the Training Management Department

The Training Management Department was separated from the Department of Academic Affairs and Student Services under Decision No. 405/QĐ-ĐHKT dated May 30, 2018. The Training Management Department is responsible for functions and duties related to undergraduate education and training.

Functions - Responsibilities

FUNCTION

To advise and be responsible to the Rector for the management of training, development and management of training programs, majors, specializations and forms of undergraduate training; and to manage teaching and learning activities for students.

DUTIES AND AUTHORITY
  1. Develop plans for development, enrollment scale, training plans, and learning outcomes for undergraduate programs across different systems and modes of study for submission to the Rector for approval.
  2. Organize the development, review, and adjustment of training programs and course syllabi; innovate teaching and learning methods to improve the quality of undergraduate education in line with international integration and current regulations.
  3. Take the lead and coordinate with relevant units to develop and submit regulations related to the management of undergraduate training programs to the Rector for issuance.
  4. Manage and organize training activities in accordance with approved undergraduate programs and course syllabi.
  5. Process and manage students’ academic results in undergraduate programs in accordance with current regulations and the University's policies.
  6. Coordinate with academic advisors from faculties to provide guidance to students on compliance with training regulations and policies.
  7. Coordinate with the Legal Affairs and Internal Inspection Department and the Testing and Quality Assurance Department to monitor training plans and compliance with training regulations.
  8. Coordinate with the Testing and Quality Assurance Department to innovate assessment and evaluation methods to improve the quality of undergraduate education.
  9. Manage collaboration and joint training programs with domestic partners.
  10. Act as the standing body of the Council (or coordinate with the Institute of International Education) to review and propose to the Rector the recognition of graduation and the awarding of degrees to undergraduate students in accordance with regulations.
  11. Coordinate with the Scientific and Training Council to recognize and approve textbooks for inclusion in the University's curriculum.
  12. Carry out archiving, statistics, and reporting on undergraduate training activities and other reports related to the University's database.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Rector.
